The war in Ukraine, sparked by Russia’s aggression, has brought unimaginable grief and destruction. According to official sources, over 60% of displaced Ukrainians have lost their jobs, and millions of people have been left without housing. Children and youth are especially vulnerable — many have experienced psychological trauma from explosions, sirens, and the loss of their homes. One child shared how a sudden explosion forced him and his brother to drag their mattresses into their parents’ room for safety. These young hearts are left asking: Where can we feel safe? Where can we find peace?
In the midst of this suffering, God has been working powerfully through the Association of Christian Camps of Ukraine. Since the war began, these camps have opened their doors to provide shelter, food, and humanitarian aid to thousands fleeing the violence. Refugees have passed through these camps, finding not only physical safety but also spiritual refuge. The camps have become a sanctuary where weary souls can rest, recover, and encounter God’s love during the darkest of times.
What’s truly remarkable is that the mission of these Christian camps hasn’t changed. Despite the war, their core purpose remains: to introduce children and youth to Jesus Christ and help them experience His love. Camps have run programs across Ukraine and Europe, with thousands of children finding peace of mind, hope, and spiritual truth. Through God’s provision and the generosity of supporters, the Association has been able to provide financial aid, making these life-changing experiences possible.
Christian camps continue to be a vital answer for Ukrainian families in crisis. Each day at camp offers children a chance to experience love and hear the Good News of Jesus. The Association aims to continue sponsoring Ukrainian children and youth to attend Christian camps. But the need extends beyond funding — camps are also seeking prayers, trained counselors, and sports leaders. If God is stirring your heart to support this ministry, whether through giving, prayer, or service, now is the time to act.
Prayer Request:
Pray that God continues to bless and strengthen the Christian Camps of Ukraine and that they may remain beacons of God's love, hope, and refuge for all who come through their doors.
