AIDIA is a non-profit Christian organization working to advance the Kingdom of the Lord, especially in the Indigenous communities of Peru. Our vision is to see Indigenous communities throughout the country exalt God as Lord.
To achieve this vision, we have different strategic ministry areas that focus on the Word of the Lord and holistic community development:
Bible Translation. AIDIA is implementing nine Bible translation projects in different indigenous languages of Peru. Our goal is that every person, regardless of ethnicity, will have access to the Word of God in their native language, the language of their heart. When a person reads the Bible in his or her native language, he or she not only understands it better, but this person can also feel more deeply the life-changing message of the Creator.
Scripture engagement. It is not enough to translate the Bible: it is important that the Bible is read, understood, and practiced. That is why at AIDIA we promote the active use of the Bible in indigenous communities, encouraging people to read, meditate on, and live by the Word of God. Our desire is to see the truth of Scripture transform lives, families, and entire local communities, bringing light where there is darkness and hope where there is hopelessness.
Church Leaders' training and church planting. AIDIA recognizes the importance of local leadership and works to train Christian leaders in their native languages. We are equipping men and women with a solid doctrinal core and leadership skills so that they can plant churches in communities where the gospel has not yet been announced. Church planting is a vital part of establishing a lasting presence of the Kingdom of the Lord in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
Sunday School Teachers Training. Children are the present and future of our indigenous communities. For this reason, we train volunteer teachers in indigenous communities to teach God's Word to children in an effective and meaningful way. In addition to teaching the Bible, we organize activities for the children that reinforce their learning and allow them to experience God's love. Our goal is to cultivate the Gospel in the hearts of the children so that they can grow in their faith and become important agents of change in their families and villages.
Social Projects. AIDIA recognizes that God's love needs to be shared in a tangible way, so it has programs that are at the service of the community in which we find ourselves:
Shalom School: a place where children can have access to quality education with Christian values that transform their lives for eternity.
Social assistance has two programs: food boxes: a program where you can show God's love and provision for the lives of people through basic food boxes, which allows us to share God's love in a tangible way. Healthy water program, shows that God cares about the holistic care of people and the importance of having access to healthy water that dignifies people's lives.
