About This Partner

Lift A Family Mission International is a ministry focused on providing underprivileged children in Uganda with a chance to a holistic education, healthy childhoods, medical care, vocational training for the women and youth and discipleship for children, adults and families. Our mission is to glorify God by supporting the vulnerable children and needy families in Uganda, to live up to their God-given potential.

In Uganda is country that holds over 40 million people, 50% of these people are children under the age of 15. 70% of these children can’t afford school. All these children fall into the category of “Orphans and Vulnerable Children” If their parents didn’t die due to accidents and diseases like HIV/AIDS, they were abandoned by their parents and forced to become orphans or their parents are struggling and can hardly afford to take care of their children.

Only 1 in 3 children have access to clean water. 51% of the Ugandan population lives on less than $1 a day. There are an estimated 8 physicians for every 100,000 people in Uganda. Families are broken every day due to poverty, resulting in millions of children being vulnerable to abuse, neglect, malnutrition, and death.  Most decisions for Christ are made between the ages of 4 to 14 in Uganda, and over 50% of the children and families have no chance to learn the gospel.

Lift A Family Mission International is building a bridge of compassion through child sponsorship to connect those who care (the sponsors) with those who need caring (the needy children) in Uganda. We rescue and support children who have been abandoned, neglected, abused to receive protection, a holistic education, basic needs, medical care, food, love, a chance to learn the word of God and the opportunity to dream.

We are also strengthening communities to create sustainable solutions that foster development and self-reliance. We work to empower women through vocational training, mentorship to encourage and equip them to be change agents in the families and communities.
