About This Partner

Long before the pandemic, our city of Vancouver (and uniquely among the younger generations) existed in the throes of an epidemic of loneliness and disconnection. There is much to blame for this; but working for years in the context of young adults in this city, it is abundantly clear that the thing we need to pursue as the church more than ever is to be a people of authentic community and real, lived hospitality.

The city of Vancouver needs the good news of the love of Jesus embodied and communicated through generosity, where there is always a seat at the table. This is how Jesus did it. This is how the early church did it. This is how we feel our city, today, needs it.

We are committing to church planting and revitalization in partnership with Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, The Way Church, and the BCBC & BGC Conferences. Mount Pleasant is a beautiful church community with a long legacy of ministry in need of vision and leadership for the next generation, and we are so excited to play a part in prayerfully leading that charge in one of the least churched neighborhoods in Vancouver.

Our mission is to be a church inspired by the loving welcome of Jesus to show the same to people of all cultures, backgrounds, and biographies through Word, Spirit, and authentic community built around a fundamental value of hospitality and breaking bread together.
