At Phoenix Foundation, we are dedicated to empowering marginalized communities in Zambia through three core thematic areas: education, health, and economic resilience. Our mission is to provide inclusive, equitable, and quality education, improve access to healthcare, and foster sustainable livelihoods opportunities. We believe that every individual deserves the chance to reach their full potential and thrive.
The communities we serve face numerous challenges, including lack of access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Many children are forced to drop out of school due to long distances or lack of resources, leading to involvement in childhood marriages, substance abuse, and other harmful behaviors. The absence of nearby health facilities and lack of health education exacerbate health disparities, particularly among vulnerable populations. These challenges have devastating impacts on community development and perpetuate cycles of poverty.
To address these challenges, we have established a school for vulnerable children, currently serving over 160 pupils. We have also developed a mental health toolkit to promote resilience and wellbeing in rural communities. However, we need help to expand our reach and deepen our impact. We require resources to support our education and healthcare initiatives, as well as economic empowerment programs. Your support will enable us to provide critical services and create lasting change.
