Empower2Transform - Partnership with Giving Circle

Mutai & Kagoma Gate Solar Power Systems

Kim and her team have invested their time and heart into helping the community of Mutai and Kagoma Gate. As doctors and those involved in the health care community, they had a passion to bring top line health solutions to this east Ugandan community. After their team from upstate New York had made several humanitarian trips to this community, they felt a need to provide ongoing, sustainable care for the 50,000 people in this community. But without a certified medical clinic, they knew what needed to be done. So recently worked with a local builder to complete the Mitzen Clinic. But one of the major barriers to certification of the clinic was providing running water and a continuous power source. When we spoke with the team from the Giving Circle, they were committed to finding a reliable, long-lasting, and renewable power source for the clinic. When they described this amount of power they needed and the duration, we knew that Empower2Transform could help. When they mentioned the quotes from the local providers, we knew that we could provide a similar, but more reliable and longer-lasting power resource for them.

We are so grateful for Dr. Daniel M. from Uganda, who connected us with the Giving Circle. Their team worked tirelessly to raise all the money for the clinic and to show up to provide treatment and other resources to brighten up the community. The Giving Circle is an all-volunteer organization founded on the principle of neighbor helping neighbor and community helping community. We believe that compassion knows no borders and that we all have a duty to help each other in this community and beyond. Along with the project in Mutai that began in 2019, the Giving Circle Africa works on projects including The Koi Koi House school residence, multiple schools, savings and microloan bank, farming, and much more in Uganda. Volunteers form the backbone of the organization and work on all projects, locally and around the globe.

Our installer worked alongside their team to install the panels in the middle of June and completed the installation with batteries in the middle of July. Now the clinic has all the power they need to provide the top-line medical care for these communities.

Ministry Overview:

Empower2Transform's mission is to bring both physical and spiritual light to remote communities in developing nations. Through collaborative efforts, they design and implement off-grid solar energy systems to power essential needs for new medical facilities. Empower2Transform aims to continue bringing solar-powered solutions to remote regions, sharing the light, love, and hope of faith in Jesus.

Prayer Request:

  1. Raising capital for the clinic located in the Amazon Jungle in Peru. We have raised around $2,200, but still need $7,800 USD to install a complete solar panel unit for this new clinic.

  2. We are praying for more clinics that we can work alongside in Uganda and Kenya.

  3. Wisdom for supplying projects in Nigeria.
