Mutai & Kagoma Gate Solar Power Systems
Kim and her team have invested their time and heart into helping the community of Mutai and Kagoma Gate. As doctors and individuals who are involved in the health care community, their passion lies to bring top line health solutions to this east Ugandan community. After their team from upstate New York had made several humanitarian trips to this community, they felt a need to provide ongoing, sustainable care for the 50,000 people in this community. But without a certified medical clinic, they knew what needed to be done. So recently, they started work with a local builder to complete the Mitzen Clinic. However, one of the major barriers for attaining certification of the clinic was providing running water and a continuous power source. After they spoke with the team from the Giving Circle, they were committed to finding a reliable, long-lasting, and renewable power source for the clinic. When they described the amount of power they needed and the duration, we knew that Empower2Transform could help. In addition, when they mentioned the quotes from the local providers, we knew that we could provide a similar, but more reliable and longer-lasting power resource for them.
We are so grateful for Dr. Daniel M. from Uganda, who connected us with the Giving Circle. Their team worked tirelessly to raise all the money for the clinic while showing up to provide treatment and other resources to brighten up the community. The Giving Circle is an all-volunteer organization founded on the principle of 'neighbor helping neighbor,' and 'community helping community.' We believe that compassion knows no borders and that we all have a duty to help each other in this community and beyond. Along with the project in Mutai that began in 2019, the Giving Circle Africa works on projects including The Koi Koi House school residence, multiple schools, savings and microloan bank, farming, and many more in Uganda. Volunteers form the backbone of the organization and work on all projects, locally and around the globe.
Our installer, working alongside their team, installed the panels in the middle of June and then completed the installation with batteries in the middle of July. Now the clinic has all the power they need to provide the top-line medical care for these communities.

Prayer Request:
Raising capital for the clinic located in the Amazon Jungle in Peru. We have raised around $2,200, but still need $7,800 USD to install a complete solar panel unit for this new clinic.
We are praying for more clinics that we can work alongside in Uganda and Kenya.
Wisdom for supplying projects in Nigeria.
