Sixteen13 Ministry wants to partner with and support churches both locally and internationally. Our vision and goals are to create ministries and organizations to reach the marginalized within the local communities and improve personal, social, and economic development. Sixteen13 Ministry will provide support financially and practically.
Locally in Canada, we are focused with working with immigrants, sponsoring refugees, aboriginals, single moms, single dads, children. and people who are struggling spiritually, teaching life skills, relief and alleviating poverty.
Our Purpose:
· To provide and develop ministries that exist to support and sponsor children in other countries
· To support missionaries
· To sponsor refugees
· To provide humanitarian relief and alleviate poverty
· To establish ministries
· To develop strong partnerships with the indigenous church and empower them
· To provide effective training and discipleship
· To build strong relationships with our supporters
· To lead by serving
· To provide and operate housing, drop-in centres, and schools
· To create jobs and improve and support communities in other countries
· To provide and develop ministries that help Aboriginals, immigrants, and Canadians with relief and alleviate poverty
Challenges: Financially – due to the economy, more families are needing our Food Ministry and funds for administrative costs. More volunteers, Sixteen 13 is growing, more mentors are needed.
Current Ministries Sixteen 13 is involved in:
Canada: Gospel Equipment Ministry – Bibles for those who are incarcerated; S-Hop – Serious House of Projects – workshop style drop-in center for boys and young men, helping them learn new skills in various fields such as automotive, metalworking, woodworking etc.; Food Ministry; Christmas gift and School Supply Program
Kyrgyzstan - My Home, My Fortress”, a ministry for children with disabilities and their families.
Africa – School in Kenya
Mexico – Missionaries in Mexico & Oak of Righteousness School
Puerto Rico - Christian School and Chapel for the Deaf (CSCD)
