The COVID-19 Crisis here in Vancouver, Canada has impacted many of the refugees, international students, immigrants, and others in our ministry scope. Many have lost jobs that they rely on to pay rent and keep food on the table, and because of their status in the country, they are not eligible for the same relief as Canadians or permanent residents.
Urgent Needs
In addition to many physical needs that are being raised due to the COVID-19 Crisis, loneliness, isolation, worry for families who are still in their home countries, and stress is affecting those we are ministering to. Our COVID-19 Response involves working to help meet the practical needs of those who are struggling financially. We also are seeking creative ways to meet emotional, social, and spiritual needs and working to come up with creative ways to provide community through technology.

We also have been encouraged to hear stories of doors opening for the gospel, new opportunities to share about Christ, and a greater desire to know how to pray among not-yet believers!
