Great Commission Foundation Financials

Financial Accountability

At The Great Commission, we trust the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of those whom He wants to participate in supporting our work. We believe that all we have comes from God and through the prompting of the Holy Spirit, His followers give to further His Kingdom work. Because the Lord supplies us with resources for ministry through individual donors, we recognize our accountability both to Him and to our donors. We have a responsibility to be faithful stewards and to maintain integrity and openness in our financial practices.

Today, The Great Commission Foundation provides, within an agency framework, direction and control to hundreds of expressions of our ministry and missional focus in over 120 countries around the world. The Great Commission ensures that projects are managed according to a strict set of guidelines.

The Great Commission is a registered public foundation in Canada with Canada Revenue Agency and in the US with the Internal Revenue Service. In this capacity we carefully review and undertake projects that fit within our missional objectives on behalf of both Canadian and American donors, and provide appropriate direction, control and oversight to each.

We strive to meet all legal and regulatory matters relating to the operations of Christian Charities in Canada and the United States.

  • We are governed by a responsible Board of Trustees, who are not staff members or their relatives. Our full Board meets at least two times annually to establish policies, set budgets, guide strategic direction, and review ministry accomplishments.
