International House Of Prayer Blog - Feb 24, 2021

PGJyLz4=At the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri we have the exciting privilege to maintain a 24/7 prayer room, bringing together live worship, intercession and missions in partnership with global missions organizations. In this vibrant context of singing the Bible, we agree with God’s heart for this city and the nations of the world. From that place I minister to youth on the streets of KC through discipleship programs and various local outreaches. Bombarded with a culture bent against the will of God, inundated with confusing messages, songs, and lifestyles, as a full-time missionary I stand in the gap both in prayer and action, discipling youth into their true identity in Christ. The other day I was sitting with Michael, Age 15, and started chatting about how things were going. He looked up at me, pushing passed a shy personality, and exclaimed, “I think God is calling me to be a worship leader.” Michael, like many youth I work with, come from different backgrounds, some with a Church background, others with none. I smiled back, in my heart rejoicing that this young man is starting to catch the vision. Having connected with Michael over the last few years I have done my best to in-still in him a dream - God’s dream. It’s a love story and God is inviting everyone into it. Zephaniah 3:17 says"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”What a beautiful picture of our Heavenly Father. Young people, like Michael, discipled to be students of the Bible, are taking that love song to their classrooms, neighbourhoods, and families. They are sharing their faith, and God is delivering their peers and family members from fear, depression, addictive behaviour, and most of all encountering the love of Jesus. I am grateful to give my life to equip a generation to establish God’s Kingdom on earth.PGJyLz4=DONATE NOWPGJyLz4=PC9icj48L2JyPg==https://gcfcanada.comwp-content/uploads/2020/11/GCF-Logo-2.pngABOUT GCFSince 2002, the Great Commission Foundation has been providing a place for individuals, ministries and organizations to thrive in all areas of ministry in order to do just that – fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and to help the impoverished. We are passionate about simplifying Ministry & Mission.
