Giving Tuesday OverviewAfter a tumultuous year, Education for Life is beginning to settle back into a routine, but the needs are still there and pressing as we catch up on missed instruction, with three academic years being compressed into two. Add to that the introduction of the new Competency Based Curriculum we have to provide more resources with the same income. Covid-19 has impacted employment, increasing poverty in our area.Urgent NeedsThe families of the children who attend the school are some of the poorest. Sponsorship is the only way many of these children can receive an education and for some, the meal they receive at the school is their only meal of the day. As a school we are trying provide, sewing machines, laptops and upgrade our kitchen to be more environmentally friendly with eco-stoves.Our MinistryEducation for Life provides for today and tomorrow, seeking out children who have no other option for an education and offer them the chance at a better future. While at school the daily needs of the children are addressed through the feeding and water programs.
