West Africa continues to witness record levels of conflicts resulting in forced internal displacements, predominantly due to violent ethnoreligious attacks from extremist forces, amongst other things. This has left several millions living in devastating poverty and vulnerable conditions, and now living across several Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, especially in the biggest West African nation, Nigeria.
Since 2013, Benue State in Nigeria, a Christian-majority state, has witnessed incessant attacks from armed Fulani bandits, an extreme Islamic ethnic group. These invasions have resulted in the massacre of thousands of people, destruction of communities, and often, total obliteration of economic and cultural assets in these communities.
Restore Mission is working to restore hope to these families by providing education to these vulnerable children and economic empowerment training to the adults. Across two IDP camps in this state, Restore Mission is currently educating over 1,200 kids in a free school program with over 1,000 free school lunch meals served every school week. With More than 50 adults economically empowered to date, and over a thousand families served twice a year with food relief packs, there is still so much more to do.
With your partnership, and by God’s grace, Restore Mission hopes to see these lives totally transformed intellectually, socially, economically, and more importantly spiritually as we infuse the Gospel of Christ in and through all we do.
Will you partner with Restore Mission today? We invite you to join us to restore the hope of a better future to these children, and these families.
Restore Mission …. restoring hopes, transforming lives, in Jesus’ name.
With over 1,200 children in our learning program and very limited conducive classrooms, Restore Mission, with your partnership, hopes to build more classrooms.
With over 44,000 children reportedly malnourished across the Benue IDP camps, Restore Mission, with your partnership, hopes to provide more school lunch meals for these kids
With over three hundred thousand adults whose primary economic activity was mostly farming, but now with no more farmlands to cultivate, Restore Mission, with your partnership, hopes to train many more adults in viable trades, start them up and empower them to thrive economically
With more than twenty such camps in Benue State Nigeria, Restore Mission, with your partnership, hopes to be able to reach many more camps while this crisis lingers.
