Bethesda Medical Center

Haiti is in crisis. Gang wars. Political unrest. Violence. Cholera. Soaring inflation. These factors have led to a humanitarian crisis on a massive scale. In fact, the UN has described it as a humanitarian catastrophe with almost 5 million people struggling with acute hunger and for the first time ever 19,000 people are in the Catastrophe phase (IPC analysis), in layman’s terms, starvation.

The situation is heartbreaking and seemingly hopeless.

But we are not without hope.

Our Ministry

Bethesda is open, every day, 24/7 to provide high-quality medical care to those most in need. Our staff is making daily sacrifices to get to work and the leadership team is working extremely hard to ensure we have fuel, medicine, and medical supplies.

Many of our patients who come simply don’t have the money it costs to see a doctor or buy medicine. So we are raising money for our compassion fund. This fund is specifically set aside to help patients who are unable to pay either for part or all of their treatment.

Urgent Needs

With your help, we can provide care to people like Pierre.* Pierre was extremely ill, living alone in an abandoned home surrounded by symbols of voodoo inside the house. Pierre had no one. One day a stranger came to him and said, “I will take you to a clinic for people who have no family.” Pierre was brought to Bethesda. Bethesda provided Pierre with medical care and he was told the good news of the Bible, that there is hope for him, and that hope is found in Jesus. (*name changed)

That day Pierre chose to give his life to Jesus and left Bethesda a changed man, physically and spiritually.

This is why Bethesda is fighting to stay open. To take care of the sick and to bring the hope of the gospel that Haiti so desperately needs.

But we cannot do this on our own. We need your help. Would you consider giving to help the people of Haiti?

$30 pays for one patient’s consultation, laboratory tests, and medicine

$50 will provide medicine for 8 patients

$100 pays for a 7-night stay in the emergency department.

God is working, transforming lives one at a time.

Thank you for being part of what God is doing in Haiti.
