Kids In The Word
For our CHCA team, there is nothing more exciting than to see children enthusiastic to learn God’s Word. Our ‘Kids in the Word’ program runs every Saturday and we have been exploring the character of God through His various names (Immanuel, Jehovah Rapha, El Shaddai). We have approximately 25-30 children in this program weekly. Continue to pray with us for these precious children to accept Jesus as their Saviour, so they can face the difficulties the enemy inflicts on their families and community with Jesus as their guide.
Youths In the Word
Our ‘Youth in Word’ program consistently has 11-15 youths attending weekly. We are learning what it means to be children of the light and how the enemy wants to destroy their God-given destiny.
Agricultural Program
We are reaping a great reward, and are seeing the literal fruits of our labour, after several months of gardening! We are growing a variety of fruits and vegetables that serve to expand our breakfast program and to help families in need. We have planted mango trees, lime trees, orange trees, papaya, plums, pomegranates, plantains, bananas, cherries, cassavas, peas, grapes, pumpkins, and passion fruits. We have 19 hens, five roosters, and three baby chicks born at Eden’s chicken farm! Celebrate the goodness of our Lord with us! We give Him praise and thanksgiving for His faithfulness.
Preschool Program
Continue to pray for all our preschoolers that they will enjoy learning and excel in their classes. We currently have 27 preschoolers (wow!). Our plan is to hire another teacher and open another class this September to facilitate the growing number of preschoolers. Our goal for our preschool program is to equip our students with the ability to read and write, and provide them with a healthy breakfast to help them do better in school, Studies have shown that a healthy breakfast improves memory, concentration, problem-solving skills and so much more. Each day we explore different Bible stories, teaching them God’s Word and His wonderful plan for their lives.
Life Skills
Thank you INFOTEP and Professor Luis Manuel Perez for the opportunity to offer a Basic Residential Electricity course to 25 adults and young adults at Eden Christian Centre.
