In many parts of the world, basic human needs remain heartbreakingly unmet. Millions live without access to clean drinking water. Children go to bed hungry. Families walk for miles just to find a single bucket of water—often unsafe to drink. It’s a daily struggle for survival, not because people lack hope, but because they lack opportunity and resources. This is the reality Nehemiah Construction Ministries (NCM) is determined to change.
Since 2004, Nehemiah Construction Ministries has been serving some of the most vulnerable communities by building more than just homes. Their mission is rooted in Matthew 25:35-36—to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, provide water for the thirsty, and care for the overlooked. From constructing vital infrastructure to delivering daily necessities, every act of service is a tangible expression of Christ’s love.
In 2006, NCM partnered with The Great Commission Foundation to launch The Drill for Life Project. By 2007, they began drilling wells in the parched and remote Turkana region of Kenya. As of January 2025, the impact has been incredible: over 135 water wells drilled and approximately 100 wells repaired, supplying clean, safe drinking water to tens of thousands of people. What was once a barren land is now bearing fruit—health is improving, children are thriving, and communities are being transformed.
But the story doesn’t stop there. NCM continues to provide meals for the hungry, clothing for those in crisis, and construction support for churches, schools, and mission facilities. Their hands-on work is helping to restore dignity and hope where it’s needed most. Whether in the deserts of Africa or forgotten corners of the world, they are showing up—ready to serve, ready to build, and ready to love like Jesus.
