About This Project

I have felt a calling to missions for several years, and so when God opened a door to return to Madagascar it was a clear sign I was meant to go. The organization Mercy ships is a non-profit organization that is composed of two hospital ships which strive to follow the 2000 year old model of Jesus to bring hope and healing to the world's forgotten poor. In many regions in Africa access to surgical care is limited, unsafe or unaffordable so Mercy ships exists by bringing safe and free surgical care as well as surgical education to create a transformational change. Within my role as Hope Center facilitator I will be providing for the daily physical and spiritual needs of all patients and caregivers prior and following their surgeries. The purpose of my ministry is to treat all patients with kindness so each individual may leave Mercy Ships with more than a physcial change; a faith in Jesus Christ.
