About This Project

Falcon Lake Christian Retreats plans and provides retreats in a beautiful, historic setting on Falcon Lake. Surrounded by rock and pine trees, the retreat is the only site on a bay of clear water that has been dedicated to the glory of God and the building of His kingdom for over a hundred years. Today, small groups of retreat guests stay in a comfortable solar-powered lodge and enjoy lake activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and stargazing while hearing in the beauty of God's creation the call to contemplate, wonder and worship. But not all have the resources to come. Our mission is to plan Christian retreats and to support retreats for pastors, church boards, worship and fellowship groups, study groups and therapeutic groups by offering use of our retreat site free of charge or at a subsidy. Our projects involve giving use of the center to an inner-city mission church who works with the unhoused, hosting faith-based therapeutic retreats, and supporting pastoral, youth and study groups for whom retreats provide escape from daily stress and opportunities for Christian development, wellness and healing.

Maintaining an off-grid retreat center is difficult work, provided at Falcon Retreats by dedicated volunteers. There are operational expenses involved in boat transportation, upkeep, and maintaining grounds, buildings and solar and propane-powered systems. Programming expenses include providing Christian therapeutic and study facilitators and materials that will help individuals make life-changing decisions. We need your financial assistance and your prayers. A Latin inscription on an ancient stone on our grounds inspires us - "Adora et labora". Please join us as we work and worship, adore our Lord, marvel at the grace and goodness of God, and hold out the Word of Life to those in need of rest and renewal.
