About This Project
The mission of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary is best summarized by the words of A.A. Alexander: “To furnish our congregations with enlightened, humble, zealous, laborious pastors, who shall truly watch for the good of souls, and consider it their highest honour and happiness to win them to the Saviour.” As a theological seminary in the confessional Presbyterian and Reformed tradition, we exist to serve the church of today and tomorrow by equipping men for the ministry, teaching them to be biblically grounded, pastorally focused, and confessionally faithful.
Founded in 1987 by Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) Elders, the focus of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary has always been pastoral ministry around the world.
Never has a student graduated from GPTS with debt incurred due to his seminary education. For the sake of our students, their families, and their future churches, we are committed to keeping tuition rates low. We maintain several named scholarships and aid programs as well.
