Hogar de Amor Y Protección al Niño, AC was started by the church Grupo Amor in the city of Colima, Mexico in January of 1992. The ministry began in a rented house, but a little over a year later, we bought and moved into our first home.
The ministry has continued to grow, and now has 12 homes with over 190 children in care, right from babies to university students. We provide 24/7, full time care for the children, and supply everything that they need. Our commitment is to take them through whatever level of education that they aspire to. For the most part, we are able to do that in our own Christian school, Instituto Adonai, which provides 3 grades of Kindergarten, and Grade 1 to Grade 12 classes.
Our objective is to provide these children with the same support that should be normally found in a loving Christian home, including providing for their emotional, spiritual, educational, and physical well-being.
Hogar de Amor is a non-profit which relies completely on donations to meet its monthly expenses. The sponsorship program is a huge blessing as it helps meet these needs on a regular monthly basis, providing something we can count on.
