It’s Possible Foundation
For many hardworking individuals and families, the dream of owning a home is moving further out of reach. In high-cost Canadian communities, families may have stable employment and the ability to responsibly maintain a home, yet still face financial barriers that prevent them from entering homeownership.
It’s Possible Foundation (IPF) exists to help change that.
Our purpose is to create pathways to safe, stable and affordable homeownership while strengthening families and communities through Housing + Education + Faith & Relationship.
IPF works with families experiencing financial and housing challenges to overcome barriers to homeownership through financial assistance, affordable financing and shared-equity housing solutions. But our ministry does not end when a family receives the keys to their home.
We seek to walk alongside families throughout their homeownership journey.
Through education in financial literacy, budgeting, home maintenance and responsible stewardship, families are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to successfully maintain their homes and build long-term financial resilience. Through partnerships with local churches, Christian ministries and service organizations, families can also experience Christian community, prayer, pastoral care, practical assistance and opportunities for spiritual growth.
Our desire is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through practical service and long-term relationships—helping families put down roots, strengthen their connection to community and experience the hope found in Christ.
Housing affordability continues to place enormous pressure on Canadian families. At the same time, developing a sustainable homeownership program requires significant financial resources, strong financial and service partners, engaged local churches, and a network capable of supporting families for many years.
IPF is responding by developing a replicable, community-based model that brings together churches, Christian ministries, financial institutions, donors, service organizations and community partners. Initial work is focused in Ontario, with the long-term vision of establishing this model in communities across Canada.
To grow this ministry, we need partners who share our vision.
Financial gifts will help IPF provide housing assistance, develop family education and support programs, build local church and ministry partnerships, and expand into communities where housing affordability is placing families under increasing pressure.
We also welcome churches, Christian organizations, business leaders and volunteers who want to partner with us in serving families.
Together, we can help families find more than a house—we can help them establish a home, build a future, experience Christian community and discover that, with God, it’s possible.
