About This Project

Refuge of Hope exists to empower the vulnerable women and children of Bucerias, Mexico to live in physical, emotional and spiritual safety and harmony, having access to needed shelter, food, education, community support, skill training, business development and spiritual transformation.

We long to live in a community where all women, children and families live with hope, security, independence, and the deep love of God.

Unfortunately that is not the community we currently live in. The children who come to Refuge of Hope every day experience poverty, violence, addiction, abandonment and neglect. Many have never been in school. Some have physical or mental disabilities.

Our desire is to reach into our neighborhood and bring God's love and hope to children and their moms. We want to keep families together but that means helping removing barriers and providing needed support and friendship. Teaching life and employment skills, literacy, hygiene, emotional strategies and spiritual concepts. Coming alongside. Providing meals and education and medical intervention. We can't do any of this without the financial, physical and spiritual support of donors and volunteers like you!
