Through the Word: Bringing the Bible to Life for Listeners Around the World

At Through the Word, our mission is simple and bold: to equip people everywhere to read the Bible, understand it, and apply it. We do this through clear, concise, and compelling audio guides that take listeners through every chapter of the Bible—one chapter at a time. Our app delivers short (typically 10-minute) teaching segments alongside the biblical text, helping users make sense of Scripture and connect it meaningfully to their lives.

Through the Word is 100% listener-funded and offered completely free to users. We’ve never charged for access, and we never will. This model ensures that the Bible journey remains accessible to anyone, anywhere—regardless of financial means, language, or background. In a world full of noise, we help people hear God clearly.

The need for this kind of ministry has never been greater. Millions around the world have access to a Bible but struggle to understand it. Others simply don’t know where to begin. With growing biblical illiteracy, even among churchgoers, there’s an urgent need for accessible, trustworthy teaching that is faithful to Scripture and rooted in grace. At the same time, digital platforms require constant upkeep and development, which comes with real financial cost. Hosting, software, content creation, translation, and distribution all require time, tools, and talent.

By God’s grace, Through the Word has grown steadily year over year. We’ve now surpassed 1 million app downloads worldwide, reaching users in over 190 countries. Our content has helped believers of all ages and backgrounds develop a daily habit of Bible engagement, guiding them through Scripture with clarity and conviction. The ministry’s reach is global, but the impact is personal—changing one heart, one chapter at a time.

To sustain and grow this global impact, we are seeking support for ongoing operations—particularly infrastructure that enables our content to reach users every day of the year. This includes cloud-based services, mobile app platform development, and the core tools required to store, host, and stream our Bible teaching content.
