Many of the families in Kroo Bay depend on market selling/trading for their livelihoods. For many months of this year, there were restrictions at local markets and businesses that decreased earnings, and increased food insecurity for the sellers/traders and their families. During the months where COVID-19 was the worst in Sierra Leone, we had to shut down many of our programs to protect the community. We continued to provide food, support, and encouragement during those difficult months. The community of Kroo Bay trusts our organization due to our long-term investment in them, and we were able to walk with them through this difficult time.
