(source: worldbank). In February twin babies came who were extremely ill. With three other children at home mom had no possibility of feeding them. Having already lost an infant it seemed like history was repeating itself. After hospitalization, the twins were referred into Bethesda’s malnutrition program.  Mom knows anytime the twins are sick, regardless of whether she can pay or not they will be treated at Bethesda.  Today, 9-month-old Judes and Judesca are healthy, happy babies.

This new facility will enable us to improve our quality of care and treat more patients like Judes & Judesca. We have purchased property; plans are being made and the next stage is infrastructure.One of the basic components we need is WATER.  Installing a water system at our new property involves well drilling, water storage, waste water treatment and more! Having clean, running water is vital.  We will also be providing water for our community. This alone will decrease the incidence of diarrheal diseases caused by dirty drinking water.Our goal is to raise $20,000 for a water system which will ultimately save lives.Our MinistryBethesda Medical Center has been serving the people of Northern Haiti with high quality medical care for over 55 years. Bethesda was started by an American nurse who was treating patients in a small hut.
