Here, we will provide surgical care while working towards the goal of bringing a surgical residency training program to the Good News Hospital.MadagascarAn island off the south of Africa, Madagascar is consistently one of the 10 poorest countries in the world. There are 27 million people who make the island home, 87% of whom live with no electricity and 75% live on less than $2 per day. Access to surgical care is extremely limited and qualified surgical workers are few, especially in rural regions.
