Crossing Cultures International (CCI) is leading the way in how cross-cultural missions are being done. By equipping and training indigenous pastors and church leaders through the local church, the culture remains unaltered as sound biblical knowledge is imparted through a discipleship relationship.
More than 3 million pastors are without training. CCI endeavours to equip indigenous church leaders with biblical knowledge, ministry skills, and personal character in order to become participants in the Great Commission and not just recipients of the gospel. Our multiplication strategy stems from 2 Timothy 2:1-2, which focuses on disciples making disciples in Christlikeness. How does CCI employ this strategy? We’d like to introduce you to Samuel, a CCI graduate from Cambodia. During the first year of his studies, he planted a church near his home in Siem Reap, Cambodia. After graduating in 2018, Samuel formed a group of leaders to plant eight more churches in the northern part of Siem Reap. He said, "CCI helped me start a new class near Siem Reap. You equipped me, so I am going out to equip others. God is a good Father; my Father's work is my work." Samuel’s story is a prime example of what CCI endeavours to do—equip leaders who then train and equip others. Through a discipleship relationship, indigenous pastors and church leaders spend 550 hours under a Christlike, mature Christian pastor or leader who learns how to effectively shepherd the people God has entrusted to them. More than 16,000 pastors and church leaders have graduated through our training programs.
The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Nearly every day, we receive invitations from untrained pastors worldwide asking for our CCI training. Unfortunately, we often have to turn down these requests due to a lack of personnel or funds. It only takes $300 per month to support one coordinator. YOUR prayers and investment make a world of difference and allow us to expand into unreached areas. As more leaders are trained, the gospel spreads so that unreached people hear the gospel for the first time. Hearts are forever changed as people believe in Jesus Christ and begin to worship the one true King. Will you come alongside CCI and help fulfill The Great Commission?
