TrueCity - A Collaborative Mission

Hamilton, Ontario, faces urgent challenges like poverty, rising housing costs, and community development needs, with over 14% of residents living below the poverty line. Immigration, especially from India, is driving growth as newcomers seek affordability and educational opportunities, but this adds pressure on housing and social services. These issues highlight the critical need for a united mission to ensure equitable and sustainable solutions.

TrueCity is a network of churches in Hamilton, Ontario, united by the belief that working together amplifies their ability to serve the community. It brings congregations from diverse denominations together to address critical social issues like poverty, housing, and community development. By pooling resources and sharing expertise, TrueCity demonstrates that collective action can create meaningful, lasting change in ways individual churches cannot achieve alone.

A key aspect of TrueCity’s mission is fostering unity among churches through joint initiatives and community outreach. TrueCity also embraces the power of storytelling to inspire and uplift. By sharing testimonies of transformation and hope, it highlights how collaborative efforts positively impact the community and encourage others to engage in the mission. These stories showcase the unique role churches play in strengthening Hamilton's social fabric.

At its core, TrueCity is deeply rooted in prayer, discipleship, and a commitment to social justice. It encourages congregations to grow spiritually as they engage in practical mission work, integrating faith with action. This holistic approach empowers churches to be agents of transformation, addressing both the physical and spiritual needs of their community.

Pray for continued unity and strength within TrueCity’s network as they serve the community, spreading hope and healing through Your love and grace.
