Cornelia Hunse has a passion for helping the children and communities in the Dominican Republic. The program she is involved in is organized to assist between 100-120 malnourished children, or children at risk due to other medical conditions, who currently live in poverty. The general focus is on children under the age of five, with a special focus on children under two years of age. They also provide literacy programs in four of the communities. The literacy program, run by Pastor Medina, provides free education to those who seek it. This allows the caregivers to be able to access better jobs and improve their income. Both the children and caregivers are benefiting from the provision of child healthcare and through the literacy program.
