At House of Grace Pregnancy Centre we envision a community of Grace where no woman, man or family, faces the effects of an unexpected pregnancy alone; where God’s grace is experienced, empowering them to process their fears & griefs in a safe place, with dignity & hope.
We offer accurate information and compassionate support to those impacted by an unexpected pregnancy, including emotional and spiritual help, also offering practical help including maternity and baby clothing and supplies, male mentorship, prenatal & parenting education as well as post abortion pregnancy related grief support.
The House of Grace was birthed through the grace that God has offered several women and men in the Cowichan Valley whose lives have been impacted by an unexpected pregnancy earlier in their own lives. What began so many years ago for the House of Grace Team has been reconciled and healed through God’s grace.. Now we extend this grace to others. Grace is unmerited, it’s God’s power to overcome, it enables us to do what God has called us to do, and it gives us new desires. God opens up hearts and conversations so we are able to come alongside each person as they navigate this journey.
The main challenge that we face today is that the world wants to cancel the GRACE narrative. We believe in the sanctity of life; from conception to natural death, thus we are seen to be anti-choice in the eyes of the world. We however see the woman in front of us, in her mitigating circumstance and do the best for both she and her unborn child. We recognize that God has designed the life of the woman and the child in her womb to be intertwined. You cannot separate them – what you do to one, you do to the other. This allows us to have conversation with her, acknowledging her circumstance while being there for her. The world, her family or even her partner are pressuring her for a decision. We speak with her about all her options and help mine out of her, her values, her hopes and her dreams. She is from there free to make her own decision as we all are in matters of life.
How can you come alongside this journey? Please pray for the many that are caught in the valley of decision with unexpected pregnancy. Please consider coming alongside each and every person we serve at the House of Grace with your financial gift. We cannot do this without you and it is your gift that walks alongside women, men, and families in order for them to feel valued as they cross our threshold. You are a part of their story – we are grateful for you!
