About This Project

Javed is the pastor of New Hope Punjabi Fellowship Church.

New Hope Punjabi Fellowship

Purpose: to be-friend, make disciples, and evangelize in the Sikh (Punjabi), Hindi and Urdu-speaking communities in Winnipeg, Canada and globally as opportunities arise, fulfilling the Great Commission Jesus Christ gives to each of His followers.

Challenges: to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ as we meet practical needs of newcomer refugees and immigrants to Canada by sourcing and providing furniture, distributing food locally, helping solve refugee settlement concerns and being available as needed while also hosting regular, culturally appropriate Fellowship services both locally and via social media in Pakistan and Thailand. Also inviting families to join the church service every Sunday at New Hope Punjabi Fellowship. Government resources frequently overlook cultural differences and are also insufficient to meet the many and varied needs of our ministry New Hope Punjabi Fellowship as well as the practical and spiritual needs of families and newcomers to Canada. By God’s grace, New Hope Punjabi Fellowship is seeking to be a friend to the newcomer and establish meaningful relationships with them.

Response to challenges: Regular Fellowship meetings are designed to bring newcomers and immigrants and Sikh (Punjabi), Hindu, together to learn and worship together. Internationally, believers in Pakistan and Thailand are reached through social media platforms and podcasts in which the Gospel is shared. Sourcing, storing, and delivering furniture is a joint venture initiative with another ministry, enabling more opportunities to meet practical needs via food distribution and friendship with many families in Christ and newcomers to Canada.

Why give to this project?

Come and join us in befriending and sharing life and the Gospel with Sikh (Punjabi), Hindi, and Urdu-speaking immigrants in Winnipeg and internationally. The needs are great, and your prayer support, personal involvement and financial assistance is key to reaching more refugees and immigrants and meeting their varied needs.

Scripture: Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe whatsoever I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19,20

For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life. John 6:40
