About This Project

For over 9 years Sarah has been living and working alongside vulnerable families in Uganda, Africa. Outreach ministries include training youth in employable skills, walking alongside orphans and supporting them through school, running sports camps and VBS programs at rural primary schools and caring for struggling single parent families through housing, feeding, clean water and vital necessity care packages.

In efforts to provide young school drop-outs with employable skills, she will be hosting a second year of vocational training, offering a 3-month short course in Hospitality and Leadership. These leadership lessons aim to equip young people in the message of the Gospel, and provide hands on practical learning. Sarah will host this course at a local Kampala hotel, training in customer service, food service and hotel operations. There will  be guest lecturers, and exposure trips to allow underprivileged students the opportunity to see how the hospitality and tourism sector is run in the capital city, in aims for them to get jobs and earn for their own independence.

With your financial help, there is opportunity to secure proper living conditions for four more families in the coming years. Safe House's cost $96,000 (CAD $) and provide a four-room cement block home with roof, perimeter wall, security gate access, solar lighting and a safe compound. The Safe House's will accommodate the vetted family comfortably, and provide them with indoor shower space, a covered kitchen, outdoor toilet structures and a water collection tank and gutter system.

Thank you for your generosity, even during these last few tough years. We hope to still be able to accomplish many of our crucial care steps of providing safety, education, feeding programs and family mentoring through your allocated donations.
