Children at risk are a major social problem in the society which needs to be addressed. These children go to the streets largely due to social-economic reasons. Sunshine Rehabilitation Centre – Kenya aims at transforming the lives of former street children and other children from ultra -vulnerable backgrounds by providing basic needs like food clothing, shelter, education, health, skill training, guidance and counselling and recreational activities. After rescue we begin the rehabilitation and later reintegration process which entails the following stages:
Child identification
Family tracing
Family assessment
Individual child needs assessment for appropriate intervention
Reunification with family for those from near stable family
Linkage with appropriate education level i.e. Primary school, Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary and vocational training

To use every child rescued from the street discovers his worth living and discovers God given potential which if unleashed yields to self-reliant citizen dependable for national building.
Mission
To provide basic needs, love, care and protection to former street boys nurturing them in an environment full of God’s love and grace and preaching to them the good news of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Objectives
Our objective focuses on relieving the poverty of Kenya’s street boys by meeting their basic needs, helping them access education, and giving them opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus.
Challenges
Children living on the streets need food, education, clothes, shelter and rehabilitation due to the effects of drug abuse.
Sunshine depends on donors and well- wishers to meet the needs of dozens of the beneficiaries.
