About This Project

AHAVA: Walking with Women, Restoring Hope

AHAVA walks alongside women in British Columbia who carry the weight of trauma from war, displacement, and violence. Through intentional outdoor adventure, we create spaces where women can form deep friendships, experience the healing power of nature, and learn skills to navigate life after trauma.

Our programs share God’s love in tangible ways:

* Wilderness Sabbaths – Small-group guided adventures that offer a safe, welcoming environment where women can meet their first Christian friend.

* Wilderness Encounters – Overnight camps that teach outdoor adventure skills and biblically-based skills to process negative emotions

* Wilderness Pilgrimages – Trios of women who commit to deep, long-term friendships and equip Christian women to share their faith with fellow Pilgrims

Many of the women we serve come from refugee backgrounds and Least Reached People groups, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Kurdistan, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. At AHAVA, we share the gospel not just through words, but through love in action—living out God’s care first, creating trust, and walking alongside women as they heal.

Your support enables AHAVA to provide these transformative experiences, helping women move from trauma to hope, isolation to community, and fear to faith.
