About This Project

Our vision at Mujeres Nuevo Comienzo A.C. (MNC) is to provide a safe home to abused, abandoned and shattered women and their children with a desire to see them experience healing through a personal encounter with God. In helping women discover their value and purpose in life and cultivating confidence in themselves, women are encouraged and empowered to pursue restoration and restructuring of their families.

Our mission at MNC is to be a place where women are spiritually nourished, loved unconditionally, provided with essentials like food, clothing, and a safe shelter, taught basic literacy and life skills, and trained in work skills. Since opening our doors in 2011 in rural Baja California, Mexico, we have been a beacon of hope for women and children who have been victims of abuse and trafficking. A decade later, MNC continues to uplift and support vulnerable families by offering a 13-room facility where they can reside together and receive care.

Throughout their approximately year-long stay at our facility, families are provided with nurturing care in a communal setting. During this time, they are given the chance to explore various vocational opportunities, such as working at the onsite coffee shop, restaurant or bakery, and learning to sew and make sausage. By next year, a hair salon is expected to be completed to teach women aesthetician skills. These experiences not only help them gain valuable skills but also boosts their confidence and prepares them for their next steps. After their initial stay, families transition into a transitional home for an additional period of time, where they continue to receive support as they reintegrate into society and explore further employment opportunities. Furthermore, once a woman owns her own property, many families have the privilege of having their own houses built for them through organizations like YWAM. There are now over twenty houses across the road from our ministry where “graduated” women and their families live. This three-phase approach enables them to build a foundation for a brighter future filled with hope and possibilities. Our prayer for each woman and her children is found in Isaiah 45:3 “I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.”

We welcome you to come and visit us in Mexico. There are various ways to get involved with MNC AC including short-term mission trips, long term volunteering, partnering with medical/dental teams, and construction just to name a few examples. For more information, please contact us at nuevocomienzoac@gmail.com. We humbly ask for your support through prayer, financial contributions, or giving your time to help sustain this crucial initiative.
