About This Project

The Seven Edge Leadership Program and the Life Map Experience

The seven areas of development include; Strategic Edge, Mental Edge, Emotional Edge, Spiritual Edge, Team Edge, Physical Edge, and Management and Systems. Without a doubt, the weakest link between all people and organizations is tied to the lack of emotional intelligence (EI). Emotional intelligence consists of four areas; self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and organizational awareness. The reality is that while trauma and conflict are imminent in all of our lives, it is this area that we are the least trained in to deal with those painful experiences.

Seven Edge Life Map Experience (SELME) – A unique approach to Crisis Care and Counselling

Over the past twenty-three years, Ernie has researched and developed a holistic approach that can help identify and start the healing process within hours. While the Life Map day is full (8-10 hours), it leads to a fuller life. Either option is available to clients.

The Seven Edge approach is deliberate and intended to resolve life’s most stressful unexpected traumatic events. If our Creator desires that we have this abundant life, then why are so few people experiencing that reality? Through the Seven Edge Life Map Experience, this reality is a possibility.

Biopsychosocial/Theology Therapeutic Approach

The Life Map Experience is a combination of best practices, theories, methodologies, and modalities from many of the mental, emotional, biological, social, environmental, and spiritual disciplines. The model is called the Traumatic Events Cycle and can be used to address any conflict, offence, or trauma. The term biopsychosocial means that the therapeutic approach considers all aspects of a person’s life, including biology, genetics, physiology, mental, emotional, social, environmental, and spiritual.

During Life Map Day, several psychotherapy techniques form the foundational basis for this unique approach. These include; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy (CCT), Structured Family Therapy (SFT), Critical Incident Stress Debriefing/Management (CISD, CISM), the Kubler-Ross model, and Logotherapy (Life Purpose and Meaning), Narrative Therapy, elements of EMDR theory and more.
