About This Project

Located in the heart of London, UK, Hope and Anchor Community Church is passionate about Jesus and providing a space for people to meet Him in a real way. We believe in reaching those in need with the Gospel and equipping the Church to do the same within their spheres of influence.

As the UK increasingly identifies as “non-religious” by the year, there is a great need to express the eternal, Biblical truth of who Jesus is in relevant ways. London itself is an international city where people from all walks of life live side-by-side and where the world is literally at your finger tips, but it’s also known as one of the loneliness cities of the world. Our aim is to help people step into true belonging and identity in God - especially young people - and then to multiply that to the people around them. We do this through typical expressions of the church such as Sunday services, connect groups, Bible studies, discipleship, feeding programs and street evangelism.

We also are missional through more creative expressions. There is a new wave of urban missions that reaches the entrepreneurs and creatives that flock to the city for the opportunities it promises. So while we’re serving and living alongside the marginalised in our neighbourhoods, we are also strategic in reaching the various spheres of society. We do this through a wide range of ministries such as, coffee shops, hair salons, art magazines, music, fashion, media, performance art and SO much more. We also facilitate community workshops and run missionary and ministry training schools where people from all over the world join us to be equipped and empowered to live a missional life wherever God calls them. We believe that God has given everyone passions and areas of influence, and He wants to use them to reach the people of London and beyond!

And to do all of this, we need YOUR help! Hope and Anchor is made up of full-time missionaries that need the generous support of people like you to continue spread the Gospel in innovative and creative ways. Donate today to be a part of this new wave of urban missions!
